Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her brothers and sisters. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania is her school of choice for highschool. She graduated in 1975. She also competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone, along with her aunt in 1977, relocated in New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. Then, she relocated into Europe and spent the whole year in Milan and Paris. Stone but was dissatisfied with Europe with the modelling industry, and decided to venture into acting. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed receptions.
